Power Washing in Milton, Delaware

Most people do not realize how much color their house lost until one section gets washed. Siding goes gray a little at a time, decks pick up a green film that gets slick when it rains, and concrete turns the shade of whatever has been growing on it.

What is included

What we actually do

Living this close to the water speeds all of it up. Salt, damp air and shade under the pines mean surfaces here hold growth that inland houses do not.

  • House siding

Vinyl, aluminum and fiber cement washed at a pressure the surface can take, not blasted.

  • Decks and porches

Boards, rails and steps, including the green film that makes a deck slippery.

  • Driveways and walkways

Concrete and pavers, edges and joints included.

  • Patios and pool surrounds

Washed and rinsed clear of what comes up out of the joints.

  • Entry and front door area

The first thing a guest sees and the last thing anybody washes.

  • Fences and exterior rails

Both faces where they can be reached safely.

Why us for this

What makes the difference

  • Pressure matched to the surface

Siding, old decking and pavers do not take the same pressure. Using one setting for everything is how people end up with streaked siding and furred wood.

  • A deck stops being slippery

That green film is the reason a wet deck is dangerous, and it is the part a rinse does not remove.

  • It pairs with the windows

Washing the house and then leaving the glass dirty makes no sense. We do both in one visit.

How it works

From your first call to a finished house

No contract, no pressure. We look, we agree, we clean, and you check it before we leave.

  1. 01

    We look at the surfaces

What they are made of and what shape they are in decides the approach.

  2. 02

    We protect what needs it

Plants, fixtures, outlets and anything that should not take water.

  3. 03

    We wash in sections

Top down, so nothing already cleaned gets dirtied again.

  4. 04

We rinse and look it over

With you, if you are home.

Around here

We know these houses.

Living this close to the water changes what a house needs. Salt carries in the air and settles on glass, rails and siding, and shade under the pines keeps surfaces damp long enough for growth to take hold. A house in Lewes or Rehoboth Beach asks for this more often than one inland does.

Straight answers

Power Washing questions

Will pressure washing damage my siding?

Not at the right pressure. Damage happens when someone uses a driveway setting on vinyl or holds the tip too close. Siding gets washed at low pressure with the work done by the cleaning solution, not by force.

What is the green stuff on my deck and north wall?

Algae, and sometimes mildew with it. It grows where a surface stays damp and shaded, which around here is most north facing walls and anything under trees. It comes off, and it comes back slower once the surface is properly cleaned.

How often should a house be washed?

Most homes in Sussex County do well once a year. Houses under heavy tree cover or right on the water often want it every spring.

Can you wash my roof?

Roofs are their own trade with their own risks, and we would rather tell you that than take the job and learn on your house.

Will it hurt my plants?

We cover and rinse what is close to the work. Tell us if you have anything delicate and we will take extra care around it.

When is the best time of year?

Spring is the busiest, because everyone wants it done before the season. Fall works just as well and books up less.
