Inside the home
Glass and Mirror Cleaning in Sussex County
Glass is the first thing that tells on a house. A bathroom can be spotless and still read dirty because the shower door has that white film on it, and a normal wipe down does not touch it.
What is included
What we actually do
That film is hard water mineral, and coastal Delaware has plenty of it. We treat the glass instead of wiping it, then finish it so it dries clear rather than streaked.
-
Shower doors and enclosures
Hard water film treated, tracks and hinges cleaned out, frames wiped.
-
Mirrors
Bathroom, bedroom and hallway, edges and frames included.
-
Interior glass doors
French doors, sliders and pantry glass on both faces.
-
Cabinet and display glass
China cabinets, glass fronts and shelving.
-
Glass tabletops
Cleaned and buffed dry so the surface does not dry cloudy.
-
Tracks and edges
The grit that sits in the bottom track, which is what makes glass dirty again in a week.
Why us for this
What makes the difference
-
It fixes what a wipe down cannot
Mineral film needs to be treated, not polished. Polishing just moves it around.
-
It changes how the whole room reads
Clear shower glass makes a bathroom look renovated without anything being renovated.
-
It goes with the rest of the visit
We are already in the house. Adding glass does not mean another appointment.
How it works
From your first call to a finished house
No contract, no pressure. We look, we agree, we clean, and you check it before we leave.
- 01
We look at the glass
Light film and heavy buildup are different jobs, and we can tell you which one you have.
- 02
We treat, not just wipe
The mineral deposit comes off first.
- 03
We clean the tracks
Otherwise the grit sitting there undoes the work.
- 04
We finish it dry
So it dries clear instead of streaking.
Around here
We know these houses.
Half the homes we clean around Milton and Lewes are lived in year round and the other half fill up for the season. Those are different jobs, and we schedule them differently. Tell us which one yours is and we will work around it.

Glass & Mirrors questions
Why does my shower glass stay cloudy after I clean it?
Because what you are seeing is not dirt, it is mineral left behind when hard water evaporates. It bonds to the glass, so wiping moves it rather than removing it. It has to be treated off.
Can very old glass be brought back?
Usually a long way, sometimes not all the way. If mineral has been sitting for years it can etch the surface, which is permanent. We will tell you honestly what we think we can get before we start.
Is glass cleaning included in a regular clean?
Mirrors and everyday glass are. Heavy hard water treatment on shower enclosures takes real time, so that one we quote separately.
Do you do the inside of windows?
Yes, and interior window glass is already part of our house cleaning. The outside of the windows is a separate service.
How long does it stay clear?
Depends on how often the shower is used and how hard your water is. Most homes in the area hold it several months, longer if the glass gets a squeegee after use.
Do you work on glass in beach homes that sit unused?
Yes, and those often need it most. A house closed up near the water builds salt film on the inside of the glass as well as the outside.
